Advancing equity for women and individuals with disabilities in education and the workforce.
What is AbledPlus?
At the core, AbledPlus is a website focused on making life with learning differences simple, safe, and stress-free.
We are a centralized resource platform designed to help students and professionals with disabilities navigate accommodations, access support, and thrive in academic and workplace environments.
Meet… Me!
My name is Halsey Jennings and I created AbledPlus to help other people like me. I was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD as a child and ever since I can remember I have wanted to help level the playing field for the neurodiverse community.
While pursuing my undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia I began to get more deeply involved in the accessibility space. I served as an ambassador at the Disabilities Resource Center and started speaking on panels about navigating academics with learning differences.
Now as a management consultant at Accenture, I am continuing to work on accessibility with an added focus on the professional workplace. When I am not at work, I am involved as an Alumni Board Member at the Schenck School - a K-6 school in Atlanta that specializes in educating children with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences.
